What does a good call center resume look like?
A good call center resume fits on one page and shows, in this order: your contact details, a two to three line summary, skills that match the job post, any customer-facing experience (paid or unpaid), your education, and training or test results if you have them. Recruiters screening for entry-level roles look for clear English, availability and proof you can deal with people. Everything else is optional.
JobStreet’s own career advice for fresh graduates says “one-page sample resume formats are almost always ideal” (JobStreet). The diagram shows what goes where, and why, based on 50 live call center agent posts we read on JobStreet Philippines on 25 September 2026 (in listed order from the “call center agent” search, plus the same search in Cebu, Davao City, Iloilo, Pampanga and Bacolod).

Where can you copy a call center resume template for no experience?
Copy the template below. It is written for a senior high school graduate with no call center experience and follows the order recruiters read in. Replace every line with your own details, keep it to one page, and delete the training section if you have nothing to put there.

Juan Dela Cruz is a placeholder name. Every number in the template (typing speed, customers per day, classmates) is an example: write only figures that are true for you.
The experience section is where most applicants with no BPO background give up. Notice that none of the three entries is a paid call center job: a family store, a class officer role and church volunteering all show you can talk to people, keep records and stay patient.
What do call center job posts in the Philippines ask for?
Most entry-level posts ask for less than applicants fear: a high school or senior high diploma, no experience, and good English. Of the 50 posts we read, 31 (62%) accept applicants with no experience, and in 31 (62%) the lowest education accepted is a high school or SHS diploma. Put what the post asks for near the top of your resume.

What should you write on a call center resume with no experience?
Write down any time you served customers, handled money, organized people or solved a problem, then describe it in one or two short bullets with a result. Good sources are a family business, a school organization, church or barangay volunteering, tutoring, online selling and part-time food or retail work. A weak bullet says what your title was. A strong bullet says what you did.
| Before (weak) | After (strong) |
|---|---|
| Helped in family sari-sari store | Served 40 to 60 customers a day and handled cash and GCash payments |
| Member, Supreme Student Government | Answered classmates’ questions at the SSG help desk during enrollment week |
| Online seller | Replied to buyer messages on Facebook within an hour and handled returns |
| Tutor | Tutored two Grade 5 students in English weekly for a school year |
| Service crew | Took orders at the counter during rush hour and settled customer complaints |
| Church volunteer | Registered families and explained the process at monthly outreach events |
Use numbers only when they are true and you can explain them in the interview. Your resume is also the script for your first answer: recruiters often open with “tell me about yourself”, and our call center interview questions with sample answers show how to turn these bullets into that answer.
What should the summary or objective on a call center resume say?
Write a two to three line summary that states your education, one proof that you work well with people, and your availability. A summary does more for you than an objective like “to obtain a position in a reputable company”, because it gives the recruiter facts to check against the post.
Sample summary: fresh graduate
Senior high school graduate (HUMSS strand) and former class president. Clear spoken and written English, experienced in speaking in front of groups. Available for night and rotating shifts.
Sample summary: career shifter
Two years as a fast-food service crew handling orders and complaints during rush hour. Calm under pressure and quick to learn new systems. Looking for a customer service account with training provided.
Sample summary: returning parent
College-level applicant returning to work after three years caring for my family. Ran an online food business from home, handling orders, payments and customer messages. Available for any shift.
Which skills should you list on a call center resume?
List five skills that match what the post asks for, and give each one a short proof. English communication comes first, because it is the requirement posts state most often. Then typing, computer skills, customer handling and shift availability.
| Skill | How often posts ask (n = 50) | How to write it with proof |
|---|---|---|
| English communication | 24 posts (48%) state an explicit English requirement | “English communication, spoken and written (class reporter, school emcee)” |
| Shift availability | 25 posts (50%) mention a shifting, rotating or night schedule | “Available for night shift, rotating schedule, weekends and holidays” |
| Typing speed | 1 post (2%) states a speed (40 WPM) | “Typing: 38 WPM, 96% accuracy (typing test, [month year])” |
| Computer skills | Not counted in our review | “Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Messenger for business” |
| Customer handling | Not counted in our review | “Calm with complaints; handled walk-in customers at family store” |
Only one post in our sample stated a typing speed, but typing still matters for chat and email work. The ConnectUs post below asked for 40 WPM and welcomed fresh graduates in the same block. If you are aiming at non-voice chat and email accounts, put typing near the top of your skills.

Should you put your Versant score, typing speed or TESDA training on your resume?
Put a test result or certificate on your resume only if you have an official result you can show. A TESDA certificate, an official English certificate or a typing test result gives the recruiter something concrete to check. Leave out scores from practice apps or guesses.
- TESDA Contact Center Services NC II: a 144-hour course, according to TESDA’s training regulations, open to trainees who completed at least 10 years of basic education (or an ALS equivalent) and can communicate in English (TESDA). Write it under Training with the training center and year.
- English level: EF SET is a free online English test with results aligned to CEFR levels and a free personalized certificate; the full test takes 90 minutes and the shorter one 50 minutes (EF SET). One post in our 50, from Work Avenue in Davao, asked for “B2 English proficiency”, the only post naming a CEFR level.
- Versant: you usually take it as part of an employer’s hiring process, so most first-time applicants have no score to list. None of the 50 posts we read mentioned it. Learn how it works on our Versant test practice page.
- Typing speed: write the words per minute and accuracy from a test you took, with the month. See what the typing and computer tests look like on the call center assessment test guide.
What personal details should you leave out of a call center resume?
You can leave out your age and birth date. Under Republic Act 10911, the Anti-Age Discrimination in Employment Act, it is unlawful for an employer to “require the declaration of age or birth date during the application process” (RA 10911, Section 5(a), on Lawphil).
Beyond what the law covers, our recommendation is to also leave out details a recruiter does not need to judge whether you can do the job: religion, height and weight, civil status and your parents’ names. Add them only if a post asks for them.
The photo is a judgment call. Many Filipino resumes still carry a 2x2 photo, and some recruiters expect one; our review of 50 posts did not count how many ask for it. If you include one, use a recent, plain-background photo in business attire. If you leave it out, nothing else on the page changes.
Should you send your call center resume as a PDF or print it?
Send a PDF for online applications and bring printed copies for walk-ins and interviews. Name the file with your name and the role, for example “Juan-Dela-Cruz-Resume-Call-Center.pdf”, and send it from an email address made of your name.
If this is your first job, you can get several government pre-employment documents for free. Under Republic Act 11261, the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act, covered documents include the police clearance, NBI clearance, barangay clearance, birth certificate and TIN, and the benefit “shall only be availed of once” (RA 11261 on Lawphil).
Never pay to submit a resume
What mistakes get a call center resume rejected?
The mistakes that hurt most are the ones that make you hard to contact or look careless with English, because communication is the job. Check your resume against these six before you send it.
- Two or more pages filled with seminars and details that do not relate to the job.
- An unprofessional email address, such as a nickname from high school.
- A missing or wrong mobile number. Call it from another phone to test it.
- Spelling and grammar mistakes. Read it out loud once, slowly.
- A generic objective that could fit any job in any company.
- Invented experience or scores. The interview and assessment will expose them quickly.
Before you apply, look up what entry-level posts pay on our call center salary page, so the number you write on the application form is in range.
